SOUND Behavioral Health is growing, and we are hiring a Child and Family Services (CFS) Clinician in Snoqualmie, WA! We offer a supportive working environment, excellent and abundant supervision, and opportunities for professional growth.

The CFS Clinician works with a variety of clients with behavioral health disorders and assists them in becoming as healthy and engaged as possible in the community, using recovery language and principles.

The CFS Clinician is responsible for providing assessment, direct clinical intervention, and supportive consultation to child, adolescent, and adult family members presenting with a wide variety of emotional, behavioral, and co-occurring disorders. Delivery of therapeutic services in the office, school, and community, to child, adolescent, and adult family members will be emphasized, including ongoing consultation and collaboration with collateral agencies (schools, agencies, caseworkers, etc.).

The team member in this Job will be required to work with the Division of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF), education (school), inpatient facilities, mental health residential facilities, and other systems of care in developing holistic, strength-based, recovery-oriented therapeutic plans to maintain children and adolescents with significant mental health problems in the community.

Schedule: Typically Monday-Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm with flexibility for evening appointments a couple of days each week to meet the needs of the families we support. Later days would require a working schedule of either 9:30am-6:00pm or 10:30am-7:00pm.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES

  • Provides assessment, direct services and/or internal and external organization referrals for clients.
  • Develops client assessments and treatment plans and maintains accurate and timely clinical records according to organization policy.
  • Prepares and Reviews necessary reports, summaries and progress notes, and incorporates into clinical records.
  • Performs consultation and liaison duties with other agencies and resources on behalf of the client.
  • To comply with county and state standards there will be service intensity expectations for this position.
  • Assists client to remain stable in the community, thereby reducing the use of hospitals or involuntary treatment services.
  • Monitors medication regimes and treatment compliance.
  • Monitors utilization of services and the success of outcome measures.
  • Develop plans to address poor utilization of services with Supervisor.
  • Participates in team member meetings, consultations, case presentations and in-service training.
  • Participates in ongoing program development and assessment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

KEY WORK RELATIONSHIPS

Establishes and maintains positive, ethical, and professional working relationships with clinical team members, clients, and outside organizations. Relates to a wide variety of people including members of ethnic and sexual minority populations and is respectful of individual and cultural differences.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, or a counseling-related field, with a strong emphasis on working with families and community agencies required.
  • Experience:Strong knowledge of mental health disorders with previous experience in crisis intervention, emergency mental health services, and trauma-informed care is strongly preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS

  • Has an advanced level of understanding of the principles of individual therapy, group therapy and/or case management approach to providing services.
  • Possesses and routinely demonstrates a strong working knowledge of the mental and/or behavioral health and support resources of King County and has a working knowledge of state and local health delivery systems, including knowledge of various funding principles and clinical services mandates.
