Salary
: $4,428 - $5,956 Monthly. The indicated salary does not include the additional 5% premium pay granted to all employees working in King County. Additionally, the indicated salary does not include the on-site 24/7 5% premium pay.

The Opportunity:This position supports the fiscal office at Echo Glen by ensuring accounts payable/receivable are accurate and timely. With knowledge of basic government accounting functions this position performs general accounting, contracts, purchasing, and payment processes in order to support the business needs of the institution and the Department of Children, Youth & Families (DCYF).
Some of what you'll get to do:Maintain tracking logs, reporting, fiscal monitoring, financial reports processing purchase request. Tasks include:
- Maintain Audit Warrant Register and Transactions list and auditing, and expenditures.
- Log receipt of negotiable items and process Transmittal of Funds.
- Maintain a contract/vendor log to track contract payments and analyze.
- Check for duplication to ensure payments are correct. contractor's billings.
- Review billing to contract rate/balance/terms.
- Determine account coding and prepare payment document.
- Research and process purchase orders in accordance with Department of Enterprise Services (DES) and DCYF Purchasing policy and procedures, utilizing state purchasing contracts to procure equipment, supplies, vital statistic requisitions, notary renewals, and training registrations.
Reconciliation, preparing JVs and tracking, monitoring and evaluating reports and statements. Tasks include:
- Reconcile/pay purchase card bills.
- Reconcile the local funds checking accounts.
- Bachelor's degree and one (1) year of experience.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience totaling five (5) years.
- Previous experience with multi-system financial reconciliation.
- The ability to take action to learn and grow.
- The ability to take action to meet the needs of others.
- Knowledge about and understand theory and practice of accounting; principles of cost accounting; modern office methods.
- Ability to apply and adapt established accounting methods to a variety of accounting transactions; assemble, analyze and prepare reports and statements of financial data.
- Ability to process large quantities of fiscal data with consistency, accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to multi-task and schedule self to meet payment and report deadlines.
- Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels.
- Optimize limited resources and support the organizational goals.
