whatyou’ll do:
- run topside on paver or asphalt roller
- paving for residential, commercial, and public works projects
- safely and efficiently operate and maintain both trucks and heavy equipment
- moving equipment on lowboy or tilt deck.
- perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections and complete required documentation.
- maintain strict adherence to safety, environmental and dot regulations.
- ensure product quality and order accuracy.
- keep your truck / equipment clean and free of buildup, for optimal performance and professional appearance.
- 8+ years working on paving crew
- extensive time and knowledge as asphalt roller operator (breakdown & finish)
- extensive time and knowledge as paver operator (topside and screed)
- knowledge of specifications, safety standards, means and methods, testing and quality control
- management of trucks and mix calls with plant operator
- valid class a cdl, a current dot medical card, and an insurable driving record.
- ability to effectively communicate with dispatch, co-workers and customers.
- strong understanding of safe driving practices and dot regulations.
- ability to perform physical tasks, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in all weather conditions.
- flexibility to work varying start times, overtime and occasional saturdays as needed.
- $35.00 to $40.00 doe per hour.
