Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Transportation Director, and working as part of a team, the Driver Trainer is responsible for program duties related to driver training supporting the general education process.

Specific responsibilities for this position are as described on the attached job description.

Salary Range: $35.91-$40.15 per hour Driver Trainer per the  Public School Employees Salary Schedule

Work Hours:

8:00 a.m.

- 4:30 p.m.

Work Year: 8 hours/day, 5 days/week, Monday through Friday, 12 months/year

Qualifications:

* Valid Washington State Driver's License.

* Have at least five year of experience as a licensed driver of a passenger vehicle.

* Minimum of two years of experience as an authorized school bus driver in Washington State.

* Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL), (Washington State Class B with passenger "S" for school bus driver, and air brake endorsements) with valid Washington State Bus Driver certification, obtained by the successful completion of school bus driver training class.

* Maintain a valid Driver Trainer certification (renewed annually).

* Clean driving record (e.g., offenses committed within the last 5 years would be grounds for disqualification, including but not limited to: suspended license, 3 or more speeding tickets, driving while intoxicated, reckless driving). (WAC )

* Pass a criminal background/fingerprint check.

* Submit to random drug tests after hire.

* Ability to meet the qualifications as listed on the job description for this position.
