Evergreen Health Monroe, a small semi-rural acute care hospital, has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Physical Therapist to join our Physical Therapy team.

Wage Range: $ per hour. The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation, such as shift differentials and premiums may be available for this role. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, applicable education and internal equity.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities

Adheres to all hospital Policies and Procedures and Philosophy of Care. Consistently exhibits professional conduct that is a behavior-based expression of the hospital’s Core Values. Provides professional physical therapy services to all age ranges under a physician’s prescription to a population of both inpatients and outpatients with physical disabilities resulting from injury, disease or surgery. Outpatient services are performed in our Satellite clinic across from the hospital.

Provides patient education to both patient and family members. A physical therapist will also work with the inpatient interdisciplinary team to provide care planning and discharge planning assistance. The therapist will also work with front desk staff (HUC) on ensuring compliance with all paperwork requirements to ensure proper coding and billing of services rendered. Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient’s age specific needs and provide age specific treatment and care.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE; CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE

Graduate of an accredited physical therapy school with current licensure to practice in the State of Washington. Previous work as a licensed physical therapist preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification card is required.

Special Equipment, Skills or Other Requirements

Ability to use skills acquired through education and experience to a diverse caseload of patients and age ranges, including pediatrics through geriatrics. Possesses an understanding of computer usage as it relates to report writing and documentation. Use of personal protective equipment as appropriate, documentation of immunization/immunity against hepatitis B, and training related to blood-borne pathogens is required.

Work Environment and Hazards

Adheres to all State and Federal regulations pertaining to hazardous materials and BBP. Occasional exposure to communicable disease and hazardous substances. Risk of physical injury from manually transferring patients and operations of equipment.

Must be skilled in the proper use of body mechanics when transferring patients. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Walks and stands for most of the day.
