This is not a “quote sender” role.
This is a closer role.
Position Overview- Source and bid government work via MRSC Roster, WEBS, and municipal procurement portals
- Identify and pursue opportunities via Building Connected and Plan Hub
- Generate and track leads through disciplined CRM follow‑up
- Set and conduct in‑person meetings with decision makers
- Maintain a minimum 30% close rate
- Travel when necessary to secure and execute work
This role requires urgency, confidence, and ownership.
Core Responsibilities Government & Public Works Development- Monitor MRSC, WEBS, Plan Hub, and Building Connected daily
- Identify and qualify bid opportunities
- Coordinate internal pricing and proposal development
- Submit compliant bids on time and error‑free
- Build relationships with procurement officers and facilities managers
- Set face‑to‑face meetings weekly
- Run structured discovery calls
- Always set the next meeting before leaving the current one
- Follow up on all active opportunities 2x per week
- Track all leads and opportunities
- Weekly reporting on close rate and pipeline health
- Coordinate clean handoff to operations
- Ensure scope clarity and margin alignment
Assist with client onboarding - Stay involved to protect relationship and future work
- 5+ years in construction or facility services sales
- Experience bidding public works or government contracts
- Familiarity with MRSC Roster, WEBS, Plan Hub, or Building Connected
- Experience selling general contracting and maintenance services
- Proven history of closing multi‑million‑dollar annual revenue
- Comfortable taking live calls and thinking fast
- Strong written proposals in Word
- Solid Excel pricing skills
- Minimum 10 face‑to‑face meetings per month
- 48‑hour proposal turnaround standard
