Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN with at least one year of experience, BLS and ACLS certification, and a GA or compact RN license for an adult/geriatric care position.
Responsibilities- Work in the Cath Lab serving adult to geriatric patients
- Three procedure rooms with five beds and an average daily census of 8-10
- Responsibilities include circulating procedures, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and procedural sedation administration and monitoring
- Utilizes Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR for documentation and medication management
- Day shift schedule with four 10-hour shifts per week, 7:00 to 17:30
- Required to work every third weekend
- Call required for 10 days per month
- Potential to float to sister campus if needed
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Facility-provided scrubs must be worn while on duty
- Maximum of 7 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed; cannot request RTO during first week
- Holiday coverage required based on number of holidays during assignment per facility policy
- Full compliance with orientation and documentation required to start on time
- Travel pairs are not permitted to work the same shift on the same unit
- Must have been away from all Piedmont facilities for at least 1 year if previously employed as perm or PRN
- Return travelers must complete a successful assignment outside the system prior to rebooking if previously deemed ineligible
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- Blocked scheduling is not permitted
- Active GA or compact state RN license at time of application
- Minimum of one year recent Cath Lab RN experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Experience with clinical documentation in Epic and use of Pyxis preferred
- Must be able to circulate, interpret/manage dysrhythmias, and administer or monitor procedural sedation
