Better! Piedmont Eastside Medical is a 310‑bed multi‑campus facility, serving Gwinnett and surrounding counties.
The Family Care Center which provides couplet care is making a difference in every life it touches. This 17‑bed unit focuses on post‑partum care, monitoring, and education.
-Education and Support The unit offers lactation consult support, educating mothers on breastfeeding techniques, newborn care, and postpartum recovery.
-Staffed with RNs, Charge Nurses, and PCTs that create a compassionate and collaborative team.
ResponsibilitiesThe staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities ofസ് all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.
QualificationsEducation
- Graduate from a nursing program – Required
- Bachelor’s Degree – Preferred
Work Experience
- No experience required;
New Graduates of a nursing program eligible – Required - Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting – Preferred
- 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions – Required
Licenses and Certifications
- RN – Registered Nurse – Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure. Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNCL Multistate License. Required.
- BCLS – Basic Life Support – Required
Additional Licenses and Certifications
- Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)
Addendum
- Mother/Baby – NRP by the end of orientation period
