This 18-bed cardiac unit specializes in the care of both cardiac and vascular patients. The typical patient population includes patients with chest pain, cardiac dysrhythmias, CHF exacerbation, hypertensive emergency, pulmonary embolism and/or DVT, and patients that have had AAA repair and carotid endarterectomy. Our unit is an intermediate/step-down unit. The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:4.

Our nursing staff work closely with cardiology and vascular teams to ensure exceptional care.

• Provide nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care.
• Function within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrate professional growth and accountability.
• Maintain standards of practice.
• Coordinate patient care activities of all assigned staff to provide quality nursing care.

• Minimum
  
  Education Required:
  
  Graduate of a nursing program.
• Minimum Experience
  
  Required:
  
  New graduates of a nursing program eligible.
• Minimum Licensure/Certification Required By Law: Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License; BLS certification required.
• Additional Qualifications: Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable; bachelor’s degree preferred; nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.
