Piedmont Eastside, Behavioral Health

Our 62-bed Behavioral Health Unit is seeking compassionate mental health clinicians to care for patients with psychiatric illnesses. Our recovery-oriented program provides opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative care environment.

• 62-bed Inpatient Psychiatric Center

• Adult Psych Unit (ages 18- 64)

• Geriatric Psych Unit (ages 65 and older.) (Patients in this unit requires assistance with all aspects of daily living
  -Total Care)
• Intensive Outpatient Program
• ECT (Electroconvulsive Therapy)
• Social Workers are expected to conduct group therapy, psychosocial assessments, and discharge planning.

Full Time Days

RESPONSIBLE FOR: Provide Psychiatric and/or Chemical Dependency counseling services to the patients admitted to Piedmont Behavioral Health units.

MINIMUM

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Master?s degree required.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED:

Two (2) years of experience in a clinical setting, either inpatient or outpatient/partial hospital setting addressing both psychiatric and chemical dependency issues with clients. Experience to include two (2) years of supervised experience in psychiatric setting or addictive disease treatment setting, or three (3) years of continuous active recovery in twelve step program.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: Professional certification and/or licensure as LCSW/LMSW; LMFT/LAMFT; LPC/LAPC. Full license preferred.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification. CPI certification within the first 90 days of employment required. Strong communication skills in both oral and written format. Flexibility to intervene on a moment?s notice. Ability to problem-solve and seek assistance from team members when necessary. Knowledgeable in innovative therapeutic interventions for the population served.
