The Manager, Quality Engineering, will join the Supply Chain Quality organization to lead the Technical Logistic Center (TLC) site Quality Engineer and Supplier Quality Engineering team. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of TLC Quality, this role is responsible to lead and manage a team of quality engineers and technicians to ensure product integrity, process capability, and consistent quality across the supply chain, and ensure alignment with Asurion specifications, compliance standards, and critical customer requirements

This position is responsible for providing day-to-day quality engineering ownership to ensure process and product quality are stable and improved. Key responsibilities include managing regular quality data and reporting and quality remediation and improvement for the TLC and associated supplier. This leader will ensure the implementation of robust quality controls that prevent defects and improve system reliability.

The primary focus of this role is to be the technical point of contact between the TLC, suppliers, and internal partners to drive quality performance through data-driven KPI management, engineered process improvements and supplier development.

This is a full-time onsite employment position.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a team of high performing engineers and technicians, setting clear goals and ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Set and manage priorities across site and supplier quality functions, aligning resources to meet operational and quality goals.
  • Lead quality issues resolution and projects through execution, ensuring that solutions are effective and documented
  • Monitor internal and supplier quality performance metrics, identify opportunities for improvement, and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards
  • Foster collaboration with leaders, peers, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on issues solutions, project progress, and execution plans
  • Provide formal updates on project and issue milestones, risk profiles, TlC Internal and supplier performance, and overall quality impact to leadership, peers, and cross functional teams
  • Mentor skills development, ensuring both technical capability growth and achievement of operational objectives.
  • Oversee the implementation of Quality Engineering programs at Asurion’s TLC, including corrective action (CAR) governance and compliance oversight. Facilitate root-cause analysis, failure mode evaluation, and systemic corrective actions to reduce defects, eliminate recurrence, and improve process yield
  • Drive standardization of quality systems, documentation, and performance metrics across internal and supplier operations. Developing and deploying inspection policies and criteria.
  • Review and approve technical quality artifacts—such as Quality Plans, PFMEAs, Control Plans, and engineering deviation.
  • Monitor and analyze KPIs related to product, process, and system quality; synthesize trends and performance insights for senior leadership.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, and data analytics to enhance reliability and operational performance. Support cross-functional teams with structured problem-solving using quality engineering tools and methodologies.
  • Lead the enterprise-wide Asurion Supplier Quality Program across all supplier tiers, ensuring suppliers operate in full alignment with Asurion’s Quality, Compliance, and regulatory requirements through clear expectations and governance
  • Execute the supplier qualification and audit processes and approve supplier qualifications, first article inspections, and manufacturing process changes. Conduct supplier capability assessments and audits; issue, track, and verify closure of Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) using structured problem-solving.
  • Partner with Procurement and Engineering to develop supplier performance rating systems, conduct business reviews, and drive continuous capability improvement.
