Job Summary and Qualifications

The Surgical Services Resource Coordinator is responsible for organizing and managing the administrative aspects of patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.

• Coordinate the daily flow of surgical cases.
• Schedule emergency and/or add-on surgical procedures as necessary.
• Keep OR staff informed of changes in assignments.
• Answer telephones and public inquiries appropriately.
• Promote customer service initiatives.
• Responsible for updating/creating physician preference cards.
• Correspond with physician offices regarding patient care information.
• Work closely with Board Runner to ensure good patient flow.
• Complete anesthesia charges daily.
• Responsible for entering, updating and completing tissue log.
• Additional duties as assigned.
• Fills in as a Certified Scrub Tech if deemed appropriate by board runner.

• High school diploma/GED.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Certified Scrub Tech certification.
