RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work on a 54-bed medical-surgical unit including 11 beds on a dedicated ortho/spine unit

• Patient ratios: 1:5-6 for RNs; RN/LPN team would have 10 total patients

• Must have minimum 1 year of medical-surgical experience

• At least one weekend shift required within a 4-week period

• Floating within unit's discretion

• Required certifications: BLS; ACLS optional

• Active RN license required

• Grey scrubs required as uniform

• Work with Alaris pumps, remote telemetry, continuous pulse ox, specialty beds, transfer equipment, wound vacs, chest tubes, NG and feeding tubes

• Use Meditech documentation system

• Care for medical-surgical patients, orthopedic and spine patients, trauma patients, psych medical hold patients

• Perform procedures including post-catheterizations without intervention, lap appy/chole, thoracentesis/paracentesis, stable traumas, HD/peritoneal dialysis, CBI

• Unit features unit secretaries until 8pm during weekdays, techs and externs availability, RN/LPN teams

• Access to new technology including bladder scanners, easy-to-use 12-Lead EKG machine, Teletracking for bed placement, Mobi Lab, Patient Keeper, Inspire App, Wound Capture

• Opportunities for overtime and incentives as appropriate
