Position
Welding Machine Operator on 3rd Shift to join our team at the Wesanco Smyrna TN plant.

Work Schedule Monday-Friday

Shift 3rd- 11:00pm-7:30am

This role supports metal fabrication operations by operating welding equipment to join metal spans and by helping prepare, assemble, and inspect components in accordance with blueprints and specifications.

• Operates welding machine in order to join metal spans in metal fabrication process.
• May set up and operate machines such as drill presses, punch presses, saws, shears, bending rolls, brakes, grinders, and numerical control equipment to shape and alter metal according to specifications.
• Follows blueprints, customer specifications, rough sketches, or engineer drawings to shape and weld metal accurately.
• Uses hand and power tools to shape, cut, and smooth metal and to blend seams.
• May set up and operate soldering and welding equipment.

• Excellent verbal communication skills with strong aptitude for operating machinery.
• Ability to follow instructions and learn the production process.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
• Strong attention to detail, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for an extended period.

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Hi-Lo Certification preferred; must be trained and certified on the hilo.
• One year of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Must be able to clear drug screen and background check.
• Must have reliable transportation.
