Overview
We are seeking an experienced, driven Service Manager who is ready to lead with purpose and make a real impact. This role is critical to the success of our service operations and the experience of both our customers and employees. The Service Manager is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality air system service through strong leadership, thoughtful scheduling and dispatch, proactive warranty management, and exceptional customer care.
Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day service department operations for air systems, ensuring efficient scheduling and dispatch of service technicians.
- Oversee warranty administration, service documentation, and manufacturer compliance requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer service inquiries and escalations, resolving conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
- Lead, coach, and support service technicians and administrative staff to ensure high performance, accountability, and adherence to safety standards.
- Coordinate service calls, preventive maintenance schedules, and emergency service requests to meet customer and operational expectations.
- Ensure air system service work meets company standards, industry best practices, and applicable safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate service records, work orders, invoicing, and reporting within service management systems.
- Work closely with customers to explain service findings, system performance issues, repair recommendations, and maintenance plans.
- Collaborate with operations, sales, and parts teams to ensure seamless communication and job completion.
- Assist with additional duties as assigned, including process improvement initiatives and technician training support.
- Previous management or supervisory experience in a service-based environment.
- Proven service experience, preferably with HVAC, air systems, or mechanical service operations.
- Strong knowledge of air systems, including airflow, controls, compressors, air handlers, and ventilation principles.
- Demonstrated ability to manage employee and customer conflict effectively.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple service requests in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with service scheduling, dispatch, and work order systems preferred.
- Willingness to comply with company policies, safety standards, and pre-employment requirements.
