Urgent Care Front Desk Insurance & Billing SUPERHERO WANTED! (PRN / Part‑time - 2 to 3 shifts per week)

What You'll Actually Do

  • Master Insurance Verification:
    Verify coverage before services are provided to prevent claim denials and maximize revenue capture.
  • Excel at Financial Counseling:
    Explain costs, billing processes, and insurance complexities to patients clearly.
  • Solve Billing Problems:
    Identify and resolve insurance discrepancies and billing issues before they affect revenue.
  • Drive Patient Satisfaction:
    Deliver exceptional service during difficult financial conversations.
  • Be the Face of AFC:
    Greet patients warmly and professionally.
  • Own the Front Desk Flow:
    Process payments, schedule appointments, and manage check‑ins efficiently.
  • Protect Patient Information:
    Maintain organized records and comply with HIPAA regulations.

This Role Is Perfect For You If

  • Experience with insurance verification and medical billing (non‑negotiable).
  • Ability to explain complex insurance concepts to patients with empathy and clarity.
  • Obsessively detail‑oriented.
  • Past experience as a Medical Receptionist, Administrative Assistant, or in a medical office customer service role.
  • Tech‑savvy with medical billing software and EMR systems.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills.
  • Positive attitude when handling challenging financial conversations.
