Project Manager - Supply Chain Transformation
Location: Smyrna, GA 30080 or Cambridge, MA 02140 or Raleigh, NC 27617 (Hybrid role)
Duration: 12+ months (Possible Extension)
Role Overview: Client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / Program Manager with 7-10 years of supply chain management experience to support Project Fulton, a critical, multi-year initiative transforming client's U.S. secondary distribution network. Project Fulton is a cornerstone of client's end-to-end Patient Supply Strategy, designed to ensure reliability, resilience, adaptability, and patient-centricity in an increasingly complex and volatile supply chain environment.
The U.S. market is the first and most critical phase of this global transformation.
Project Fulton will deliver a future-ready U.S. distribution network, including:
- State-of-the-art distribution centers
- Advanced cold-chain capabilities
- Integrated digital and data-driven solutions
The program focuses on de-risking the supply chain, embedding sustainability, and driving operational excellence through strategic 3PL partnerships, governance frameworks, and performance optimization.
Core Program Components- Lead and manage complex, cross-functional supply chain work streams from network design through sourcing and implementation
- Drive strategic change initiatives aligned with client's global supply chain objectives
- Collaborate with global stakeholders and external partners across logistics, technology, quality, and governance
- Support sourcing and onboarding of strategic 3PL partners
- Apply advanced supply chain principles, digital tools, and sustainability practices
- Identify, manage, and mitigate risks to ensure continuity of patient supply
- Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes clearly to leadership and operational teams
- Strong logistics and distribution background
- Collaborative, dynamic team player who connects the dots across functions
- Hands-on, execution-focused mindset
- Tactical and operational thinker comfortable engaging with functional experts
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Clear and effective communication at all organizational levels
- Strong leadership and motivational ability
- Proven problem-solving skills
- Advanced stakeholder management expertise
- Proven project management experience on large supply chain implementations
- Deep logistics and distribution expertise
- Pharmaceutical or life sciences industry experience strongly preferred
- 6+ years of relevant experience (7-10 years preferred)
- Hands-on experience with 3PL sourcing
- PMP certification
