We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Nurse Educator to join our dynamic hospital team herine of Siena Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced RN who is dedicated to professional development, clinical excellence, and fostering a collaborative learning environment.

Our Nurse Educator will support and enhance nursing practice across multiple specialty units, including:

* Telemetry

* Cardiac Services

* Oncology

* Medical-Surgical (Med Surg)

* Behavioral Health

* Post-Surgical Unit

* Respiratory Care Unit

Job Details

Position Responsibilities

* Provide specialized clinical expertise and skill, acting as a support person and role model for the nursing staff.

* Serve as a clinical resource to staff in the application of relevant research findings to practice.

* Assess clinical skills and learning needs of the nursing staff.

* Collaborate with leadership and nursing preceptors in evaluating and promoting development among nursing staff.

* Participate in teaching and planning orientation programs for nursing staff.

* Participate in the development of policies, procedures, and standards of patient care relevant to clinical practice.

* Manage education of staff, including employee orientation to units, standards of care, and competencies.

* Design, plan, and implement a criteria-based staff development program to meet the clinical needs of all nursing care team members.

* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate overall orientation and continuing education programs for the Nursing Department.

* Take an active role in planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of continuing education and patient education programs, as well as other educational projects as requested.

* Actively participate in unit, departmental, and interdisciplinary programs, meetings, and conferences to address evolving trends in patient care delivery.

* Engage in unit-specific performance improvement initiatives and assist in addressing knowledge deficits identified through unit-based monitoring.

Qualifications

* Passion for Nursing Education

* Minimum 5+ years of RN acute care nursing experience

* Leadership or Nursing Education experience preferred

* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required)

* Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

* Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required

* Current New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration

* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

* Preferred

Certifications:

* BCLS Instructor certification

* Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

Salary Range
