Database Developer
Piper Companies is seeking a Database Developer to support a leading organization within the financial services industry. This Database Developer will work on complex data solutions across multiple distributed systems for a long‑term engagement out of Merrimack, NH;
Smithfield, RI;
Jersey City, NJ; or Westlake, TX
.
- Build and optimize Oracle-based database code, including SQL and PL/SQL packages, procedures, and functions.
- Improve performance of large‑scale data processes, including batch jobs and ETL workflows.
- Contribute to data integration initiatives across distributed computing environments.
- Work with cloud data technologies such as Snowflake to support evolving platform needs.
- Leverage AWS services to enhance data pipelines, scalability, and system automation.
- Extensive hands‑on experience with Oracle databases, SQL, and PL/SQL development.
- Background in tuning database performance and troubleshooting complex data workflows.
- Familiarity with ETL or batch‑oriented processing frameworks.
- Knowledge of distributed system concepts and architecture.
- Exposure to Snowflake and AWS‑based data engineering tools.

The Senior IT Data Analyst will support analytics initiatives and data governance efforts across enterprise‑level platforms for a long‑term engagement based out of Merrimack, NH;

- Use SQL Developer and Informatica to extract, transform, and validate data from multiple sources.
- Analyze relational database structures to support reporting, insights, and system improvements.
- Contribute to data modeling activities that support scalable data architecture.
- Define business and technical data requirements while establishing clear success metrics.
- Operate within an Agile delivery model, participating in ceremonies and sprint planning.
- Prior experience using SQL Developer and Informatica in production environments.
- Strong SQL skills and comfort working directly with relational databases.
- Understanding of conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.
- Ability to translate analytical needs into data requirements and validation criteria.
- Background working within Agile teams or iterative development cycles.
