- Assist with store functions and day‑to‑day activities.
- Provide positive, approachable customer service and address any questions or concerns.
- Organize, receive, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom and sales floor, ensuring seasonal areas are maintained.
- Perform opening and closing procedures as required.
- Process all corporate directives, including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey requests, and other store communications.
- Maintain promotional effectiveness of store‑front fixtures and displays.
- Assist in ordering merchandise, handling damaged goods, and maintaining accurate record‑keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash register deposits/receipts).
- Ensure loss prevention by protecting all company assets and store cash.
- Keep the store in company standards, maintaining a well‑stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies, ensuring all associates follow procedures.
- Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
- Create a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the store: cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
- Store management experience in a retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
- Ability to work in a high‑energy, team environment required.
- Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills required.
