UNC Health Johnston - Smithfield, located in Smithfield, NC, is launching a new OB Hospitalist Program and is seeking experienced Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) to join this exciting initiative. These are 100% inpatient, inhouse CNM roles offering a predictable schedule, strong clinical volumes, and the opportunity to help shape a growing program within the UNC Health system. This OB Hospitalist group will operate as a separate, dedicated team supporting labor and delivery services at Smithfield, with long‑term strategic growth planned for Johnston County.

• New OB Hospitalist program launching April 1, 2026
• Employed position within UNC Health Medical Group
• Dedicated OB Hospitalist model — no outpatient clinic
• Level II NICU at UNC Health Johnston – Smithfield
• Strong, established referral base with consistent clinical volume
• Opportunity to participate in program development and growth

• 100 % In-Patient
• 7 days on – 7 days off | 7 am to 7 pm
• One OB Hospitalist and one CNM in house per week
• No outpatient responsibilities

• Certified Nurse Midwife
• Prior CNM experience required
