A well-established Software House in Slough is looking for an experienced Oracle Database Developer to join their technical team and play a key role in the design, development, and optimisation of business-critical database solutions.
The RoleYou’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining complex Oracle SQL & PL/SQL code, working closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure high-performance, scalable database solutions. This is a hands‑on role for someone who genuinely enjoys writing proper PL/SQL—not just babysitting legacy code.
What You’ll Need- 10+ years’ commercial experience working with Oracle PL/SQL
- Strong, clean, and efficient Oracle SQL & PL/SQL programming skills
- Experience developing complex stored procedures, packages, functions, and triggers
- A high standard of coding with a focus on performance, maintainability, and best practices
- Proven experience working in a software house or similar fast‑paced environment
- Performance tuning and query optimisation
- Experience supporting or refactoring legacy Oracle systems
- Exposure to modern development practices and version control
