Position: Move on & Resettlement Officer
Good Afternoon,

I am currently representing Slough Council , who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience

We are looking for a Move on & Resettlement Officer this role will be:
Hybrid 3 days office based SL1 2EJ

The right candidate will:

The Move On & Resettlement Officer will work with households in temporary accommodation to support and enable their move into longer-term accommodation, primarily within the Private Rented Sector, both inside and outside of Slough

* Support households in temporary accommodation to secure longer-term PRS accommodation.

* Work with households to identify realistic housing options and overcome barriers to move-on.

* Acquire and negotiate accommodation from landlords, letting agents, and accommodation providers.

* Support households to access employment, training, and skills opportunities.

* Signpost and refer to appropriate support services.

* Manage a caseload and develop clear move-on plans.

* Maintain accurate case records.

We require the following:

* Experience working with vulnerable households.

* Experience providing housing or resettlement support.

* Experience of negotiating, acquiring and securing properties to discharge duty into the Private Rented Sector.
