We are currently recruiting for a Gas Engineer to join our team in Slough.
Role Overview:
You will be expected to carry out the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of domestic gas appliances and heating systems in occupied and void social housing properties, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Gas Safe, health and safety, and company standards.
Please note for this role you will be expected to cover out of hours call out.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out a range of repairs in domestic properties including major and minor project works.
- Perform routine servicing and maintenance of gas appliances, boilers, and central heating systems.
- Diagnose and repair faults in gas heating systems and appliances.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns, ensuring timely and efficient resolutions.
- Carry out safety checks in compliance with Gas Safe regulations.
- Provide professional and friendly customer service, offering advice on energy efficiency and system maintenance.
- Complete relevant paperwork, including service reports, gas safety records, and job sheets.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Work independently or as part of a team to meet service and performance targets.

Qualifications:
- CCN1 – Core Domestic Gas Safety
- CENWAT – Central Heating Boilers & Water Heaters
- HTR1 – Gas Fires and Wall Heaters
- CKR1 – Cookers
- CPA1 – Combustion Performance Analysis (if still relevant)
You Will Need:
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Experience of working within social housing, local authority, or domestic maintenance environments.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a respectful approach to tenants.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider maintenance team.
