Veterinary Surgeon – Independent Practice in Slough

Now, the practice is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon (2–3 years+ experience) to join their friendly, close‑knit team on a full‑time basis. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a genuine interest in surgery – ideally working towards, or keen to start, a Surgical Certificate. There’s also real scope for someone who would like to help develop orthopaedic services in‑house.

Set within new, purpose‑built premises, every detail has been designed for patient comfort, clinical excellence, and smooth day‑to‑day workflows. The spacious waiting area offers separate zones for cats and dogs, helping to reduce stress from the moment clients walk through the door.

With dedicated wards for cats, dogs, and rabbits – all equipped with state‑of‑the‑art heated cages – the environment supports species‑specific care and comfort. The practice also boasts a purpose‑built imaging room with digital radiography and ultrasound, alongside an in‑house laboratory for fast and accurate diagnostic testing.

• Hours:
  
  8:30 am – 7:00 pm, 4 days per week
• Weekends: 1 in 3
• No OOH
• Sole charge shifts required

• Salary:
  Up to £70,000 FTE (dependent on experience)
• Certificate support available
• Generous annual leave allowance
• Bonus scheme considered for senior‑level vets

You’ll be joining a supportive and experienced nursing and reception team, with a new RVN joining this year. Both directors hold Certificates in Small Animal Surgery, and the practice already performs a wide range of soft‑tissue procedures in‑house, alongside a visiting orthopaedic surgeon.
