We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Neighbourhood Officer (Level
6) to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in fostering strong community relationships and ensuring the effective management and development of local neighbourhoods. You will be responsible for overseeing various initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of life for residents, addressing community issues, and providing support to local organizations.

This position requires a strategic thinker with a compassionate approach who can effectively coordinate projects and collaborate with diverse groups, including residents, community leaders, and stakeholders. You will utilize your strong communication skills to engage with the community and advocate for their needs, ensuring their voices are heard. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing a dedicated team of neighbourhood officers, providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage neighbourhood development initiatives to enhance community engagement.
  • Oversee the execution of local projects and programs aimed at improving quality of life.
  • Act as a liaison between residents, local authorities, and community organizations.
  • Develop and implement strategies for conflict resolution within the community.
  • Conduct regular assessments of neighbourhood needs and report findings to management.
  • Manage and mentor a team of Neighbourhood Officers, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Facilitate community meetings and events to promote participation and gather feedback.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in community development or urban planning, with at least 5 years in a related field.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on community engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of local governance and community resources.
  • Proficient in data analysis and report writing for assessing community needs.
  • Bachelor's degree in social sciences, urban planning, public administration, or a related field;
    Master's degree preferred.

Hours Per Week: 37.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £20.09
