About

The Role Lab Cleaning Operative - Monday to Friday from 6am - 3pm.

Main duties and Responsibilities
  • To carry out all cleaning tasks as detailed by the Cleaning Instruction Cards / work schedule, to agreed standard, as directed by the Hygiene Supervisor/Site Hygiene Manager
  • To carry out all tasks with due regard to the contract specification and all legislation including Health and Safety, and Personal Hygiene.
  • To ensure correct materials, equipment and methods are used at all times and equipment is kept clean and in good working order.
  • Report faulty machinery / equipment immediately to your supervisor.
  • To ensure company / client provided uniform is kept clean and tidy and is always worn whilst at work.
  • To use every effort to develop and maintain effective working relationships with our customer and your colleagues.
  • To ensure that all machinery is Isolated / locked off prior to cleaning, as trained.
  • Correct use “as trained” of hazardous chemicals – acids / alkalis
  • To attend training as required by your Line Manager / supervisor.
  • Report all accidents and ‘near misses’ to your Line Manager / supervisor.

Skills & Experience required

  • Comfortable working alone and as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritise and manage an ever-changing workload
  • Cleaning experience would be preferred however full training will be provided
  • A good understanding of English,both written and spoken
  • Previous GMP Cleaning Experience is desirable but not essential.
