As an HR Advisor, you will be responsible for delivery of a full range of employment relations and human resource services. One of your main roles will be to provide expert professional advice and support to managers and employees on all aspects of people management, which fully reflects current employment legislation and best practice.

Customer Solution Centre, Slough Head Office (Slough, Berkshire)

Job Type: permanent, full‑time

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, 8:30am - 5pm

Salary: £30,000 to £33,000

About the Role:
  • Work closely with line managers and employees, providing them with expert guidance, coaching and support on the full range of HR activities in order to ensure a consistent and fair approach to people management.
  • Manage investigations, disciplinary, grievance and appeal matters in conjunction with line managers.
  • Provide advice and guidance on individual employee relations cases.
  • Support all managers on performance management issues, including probations, absence, conduct and Health & Safety.
  • Contribute to strategies and procedures to promote the health and well‑being of employees.
  • Provide data and reports to the management team as required, including monthly sickness and absence reports.
  • Support with the design and implement the performance development review process.
  • Conduct job evaluations.
  • Supporting the Resourcing & Talent Coordinator on recruitment and selection strategies as required.
  • Oversee the onboarding and induction processes in collaboration with the Resourcing & Talent Coordinator.
  • Updating and maintaining the HR Information System data.
  • Review, update and implement policies, procedures and forms as and when required ensuring they align with company values and aims, UK Employment Law, GDPR and industry regulations.
  • Liaise with Occupational Health as required and managing the process.
  • Assist in the implementation of employee engagement and well‑being initiatives.
  • Providing advice and assistance on policies, procedures, legislation, and enterprise agreements.
  • Keep up to date on changes in UK Employment Law and best practice.
  • Conduct training sessions for managers and aspiring leaders.
  • Respond to ad hoc HR queries on a day‑to‑day basis.
  • Be aware of all Lanes Group policies and your responsibilities towards them.
  • Embrace and promote Lanes Group values and culture.
  • Undertake ad hoc projects, tasks or duties as and when required or requested by the Senior Leadership Team
