£170-£270 per day PAYE (incl. holiday) | Commercial Finance Analyst | Slough | Hybrid: 3 days in office
Q1: Are you currently working in commercial finance, FP&A, or a finance business partnering role?
Q2: Are you part-qualified or newly qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA), with up to 4 years post‑qualification experience?
Q3: Are you open to a 6‑month PAYE role, working from a Slough office around 3 days per week?
This is a rare opportunity to join a newly formed global consumer business, carved out of a FTSE‑listed FMCG and now backed by a major private equity investor with over $100bn in assets under management.
The organisation is in build mode. Teams are lean, finance is highly visible, and ways of working are being created in real time rather than inherited. This role has been created to add immediate executional capacity into a commercial finance team operating at pace during a critical stage of growth.
You will work closely with senior finance leadership, supporting hands‑on commercial finance and marketing business partnering, alongside the rollout of an integrated business planning (IBP) approach. The role combines day‑to‑day commercial analysis, stakeholder interaction, and coordination across functions to keep planning and performance moving. This is not a strategic design role; it is a delivery‑focused position suited to someone who enjoys pace, accountability, and learning fast.
There is clear potential for this role to convert into a permanent position, with permanent salary banding of £40,000‑£65,000 depending on experience.
What the role actually involvesThis is a hands‑on commercial finance role with real responsibility. Day to day, you will:
- Support forecasting, performance tracking, and monthly business reviews
- Act as a finance coordination point for IBP activity, ensuring meetings happen and outputs are followed through
- Work across sales, marketing, supply, and finance to gather inputs and maintain planning cadence
- Prepare materials, capture actions, and proactively chase stakeholders
- Support marketing and category finance activity with analysis and commercial insight
- Operate effectively in an environment where processes are still being built
This role is about making things happen, not waiting for perfect information or fully formed structures.
Who this role suitsYou are likely someone who:
- Thrives in fast‑paced, complex, matrix organisations
- Takes ownership and delivers outcomes without needing close supervision
- Is comfortable with ambiguity, evolving processes, and accountability
- Wants exposure to how a global FMCG business is built post‑carve‑out
- Experience in commercial finance, FP&A, or finance business partnering
- Confidence working with forecasts, performance data, and financial analysis
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders
- A proactive, self‑starting mindset
- Willingness to be office‑based in Slough around 3 days per week
- Part‑qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA), with up to 4 years post‑qualification experience
- FMCG or consumer‑led business experience
- Exposure to planning, forecasting, or cross‑functional cadence processes
- Small, high‑impact finance team with strong visibility
- Hybrid working with a clear in‑office culture
- Slough‑based office with shuttle access from the station
- A role offering pace, exposure, and genuine career progression potential
If you’re looking for a commercial finance role where your work is visible, the pace is real, and you can grow with the business, this is an opportunity worth exploring.
No sponsorship or relocation offered.
