We are currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor - MEP who will provide commercial assistance. As experts in MEP engineering, we’re delivering technically challenging data centre fit‑outs and projects across commercial, education, and defence sectors.
As the Quantity Surveyor – MEP, you will:- Assist the ‘Commercial Team’ embedded within a fast paced, high‑profile Ministry of Defence (MOD) Private Finance Initiative (PFI) based at Northwood Joint Headquarters.
- Responsible for assisting in the delivery of new works, lifecycle and business as usual activities. This will involve working closely with the commercial team to obtain quotations through the tender process. Tender analysis and subsequent procurement of materials and subcontractors.
- Assist in planning payment schedules and the formulation cash flow forecasts in order to track and report margins up the chain of command.
- Assist with the measuring of works completed and help agree payment applications.
- Monitor progress of applications and any disputes.
- Experience of setting up and/or operating office management systems including filing systems and document control and distribution.
- Experience of technical minute taking at contractual meetings and able to demonstrate the ability to collate information and prepare reports.
- Experience of drafting contractual correspondence on behalf of the Project Manager and preparation of payment certificates and interim financial reports.
