• Tolead the mechanical engineering
  
  Operation, dealingwithbus Servicing, Breakdown and Inspections and diagnose faults,specifyingthe correct method of repair and length of time it may take to repair.
• To be flexible in respect of working hours to ensurecommitmentstooperationalrequirementsare fulfilled and will need to remain up to datewithany newengineeringor health and safety legislation
• To be fully up to date withindividualbushistory payingparticularattention to reoccurring defects prior to carrying out thebusinspection.
• To befamiliarwithmodern repair techniques and the use ofelectronicandmechanicaldiagnosticequipment (i.e. Brake rolling road tester, smoke meter, headlight alignment tester, engine oil sampling anddiagnosticlaptop equipment).
• To befamiliarwithcomputerisedengineeringsystems and the input and extraction of relevant data.

We'll provide your overalls and all the tools and equipment needed.

Hourly rate:
Up to £22.77 per hour

• Do you a posses a minimum Level 3 NVQ standard of equivalent (i.e. City & Guilds Level 1&2)?
• Have you got the capability to multi-skill within an Engineering Environment?
• Do youhave a flexible approach to working hours?
• A PCV licence isdesirable, ability to obtain PCV licence is essential, and we will help you gain this qualification.
• Do you have experience of working with buses & coaches, HGV vehicles?

We are looking for Mechanics who are fully conversantwith the overhaul and repair of bus vehicle systems engines, gear boxes and hydraulic systems.

Ideally you will alsohaveexperience using workshop equipment such as brake rolling road testers, tracking gauges, hydraulicvehiclelifts, washing systems and testing equipment.
