About the Role:As a Geotechnical Engineer you will contribute to multi‑disciplinary rail and infrastructure projects by applying geotechnical expertise to ground investigation, risk assessment, design and reporting activities that support safe and cost‑effective engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, supervise and interpret ground investigation works (boreholes, trial pits, in‑situ testing).
- Analyse soil and rock data to develop ground models and design parameters.
- Prepare geotechnical reports, risk assessments, and design input for foundations, earthworks, slopes, retaining structures and ground improvement solutions.
- Liaise with clients, contractors and multi‑disciplinary design teams to integrate geotechnical solutions into wider project deliverables (e.g., rail infrastructure schemes).
- Support project delivery including site inspections, technical coordination, and quality assurance.
- Produce technical documentation compliant with UK standards and industry practice.
