Salary£27,800 – £30,000 per annum depending upon experience

About the roleDue to continued growth and development we are now looking for customer‑focused people to join us in our Utility Division working on our Thames Water contract service to deliver real and effective solutions to wastewater network and drainage problems.
Responsibilities- Arrange for street works permits as required and in accordance with procedures.
- Ensure traffic management plans are available in accordance with procedures.
- Assist with the management and administration of permitting, monitoring and coordination of street works activities.
- Work closely with local authorities to open and close permits using street works systems, while ensuring all aspects of the Traffic Management Act are met. Respond to highways comments, PMR and manage active permits to prevent any fixed penalty notices and over‑run charges.
- Schedule and programme high‑volume Thames Water works for multiple teams, issuing road‑closure and parking suspension application forms to local authorities to enable operational delivery.
- Assist with day‑to‑day operational aspects of the project and scope.
- Monitor and identify street works compliance performance risk in relation to Section 74 fixed penalty notices.
- Lead on all aspects of street works coordination, providing clear understanding of all permits.
- Implement change and alignment to department and business strategy.
- Effectively control the processes, resources and data concerning the Highways authority, delivering time‑bound SLAs.
- Liaise with subcontractors on effective updates of all permitting matters.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties, activities or projects as required.
- Be aware of Lanes Group policies and your responsibilities towards them.

- Have the ability to deal with people at different levels.
