6 month Fixed Term Contract
Job PurposeProvide guidance and support to IBX teams in meeting routine Health & Safety requirements, ensuring compliance and best practice. Assist with internal and external audits while working closely with the existing H&S team to strengthen knowledge and drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities- Lead site assurance visits to verify compliance against Legal and Equinix Standards, procedures and processes.
- Support stakeholders by providing relevant H&S performance data
- Advise stakeholders and contractors on H&S matters, including compliance with applicable legislation, industry best practice and Equinix Management System, Standards, Processes, and Procedures.
- Lead high-risk incident investigations which should identify non-compliance, root causes, and associated risks, with action plans agreed with the site management team.
- Verify incidents, actions and safety observations being tracked to closure promptly to avoid becoming overdue.
- Support stakeholders in identifying training requirements, including reviewing and monitoring of Team Skills Registers etc.
- Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders and Contractors to review and maintain performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead or support individual ad-hoc projects as directed and in line with current business needs and priorities.
- In-depth understanding of UK Safety, Health and Wellbeing Legislation.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications, specifically Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Technical knowledge of a related or operational industry, e.g. utilities, infrastructure, transport, manufacturing or construction, is advantageous, though not essential.
- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent and / or ability to demonstrate significant experience in an operational environment.
- Internal and External auditing
- HSAWA 1974 and associated legislation
- Ability to communicate effectively and remain composed under pressure.
- Skilled in data-driven decision-making and communication.
- Capacity to meet stringent deadlines.
- Competence in introducing innovative H&S initiatives as well as adopting established systems.
- Ability to introduce new ideas on H & S as well as adopting already established systems
