Area Sales Manager

Overview

Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Sales Manager required to join a global electrical engineering manufacturer.

• Drive sales of LV/MV switch gear, power switching devices, circuit protection, and metering solutions across London and surrounding areas.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, and tender documents for switch gear panels and distribution projects.
• Attend pre- and post-tender meetings with consultants, contractors, and panel builders to secure switch gear specifications.
• Influence designs for switchboards, busbar systems, protection devices, and metering integration.
• Provide technical support on switch gear assemblies, ATS, load break switches, circuit breakers, and panel installations.
• Visit sites for commissioning, training, and handover of switch gear projects.
• Liaise with various engineering teams.

• Proven background in switch gear and electrical distribution sales in roles such as Sales Engineer, Area Sales Manager, Applications Engineer or similar.
• Strong knowledge of LV/MV switch gear including power switching, ATS, load break switches, circuit breakers, busbar systems, and metering solutions.
• Experience producing switch gear quotations, tenders, and proposals for distribution and control projects.
• Capable of supporting switch gear projects from specification and design through to commissioning.
• Established relationships with consultants, contractors, panel builders, distributors, and system integrators in the switch gear market.
• Electrical engineering qualification (Degree, HND, HNC, or equivalent) desirable.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across London and surrounding areas

• £55,000 - £60,000 depending on experience
