Tutors

You Will:

• Teach engaging and high-quality instrumental lessons in a variety of school settings
• Inspire and motivate pupils from diverse musical, cultural and social backgrounds
• Support pupils' musical progression through well-planned and structured teaching
• Contribute to the wider musical life of the service, including performances and events
  High levels of musicianship and secure knowledge of their specialist instrument
• The passion and ability to enthuse, engage and motivate children and young people of all abilities
• Experience of, and enthusiasm for, teaching beginners
• The ability to plan and deliver high-quality, enjoyable lessons that demonstrate clear musical progress each term
• A strong commitment to professionalism, including excellent timekeeping, accurate completion of registers and timesheets, and clear, friendly, timely communication with schools, parents, students and the music service
• Experience, commitment and demonstrated musicianship are more important than formal qualifications. Additional pedagogical training and ongoing support will be provided for the right candidates.
