Are you a nurturing and patient individual with a passion for supporting children with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)? A friendly and inclusive primary school in Slough is seeking a dedicated MLD Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately.

The school provides a supportive learning environment where pupils with additional needs are encouraged to develop confidence, independence, and academic progress through tailored support and structured routines.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with MLD, helping them access the curriculum and build key skills
Adapt learning materials and activities to suit individual needs and learning styles
Support pupils with literacy, numeracy, and communication development
Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement and review personalised learning plans
Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing in a calm and structured classroom environment

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have experience supporting children or young people with MLD, SLD, or additional learning needs (in education or care settings)
Be patient, encouraging, and committed to inclusive education
Communicate effectively and work well within a team
Be confident using differentiated resources and assistive tools
Be open to ongoing training and development
