KS1 Teaching Assistant – Slough – ASAP or April Start

Do you have personal or professional experience working with children in Year 1 or Year 2?

Are you looking to help and support SEN children in KS1?

An outstanding school in Slough is looking for a KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their time and have a key role supporting children within the classroom. As a KS1 Teaching Assistant you will run interventions in phonics and spellings in the afternoons, which the school will provide training for you to carry out. These interventions are for SEN children or those who struggle phonics and spellings.

Key responsibilities as a KS1 Teaching Assistant:

* Support in the classroom during lessons and with behaviour management

* Run tailored interventions in phonics and spellings

* Provide extra support for children with special educational needs

* Work alongside the teacher to create and adapt learning resources

* Record and monitor children’s progression in the interventions

What the school are looking for in a KS1 Teaching Assistant:

* Professional or personal experience with children

* Desirable if you have experience with children with SEN, ASD or ADHD

* Ability to be flexible and adaptable in the classroom
