Head of Chemistry - Secondary School Slough

The Head of Chemistry will be responsible for the planning, delivery, and assessment of the Chemistry lessons within their department. They will lead curriculum design in Chemistry. They will ensure that teachers successfully implement the curriculum through high standards of teaching and learning and achievement. They will ensure that students make progress, are nurtured, and supported to achieve their personal best.

They will monitor and evaluate practice regularly to ensure that the quality of education students receive is strong.

• Plan, deliver, and assess Chemistry lessons within the department.
• Lead curriculum design in Chemistry.
• Ensure teachers implement the curriculum to high standards of teaching, learning, and achievement.
• Monitor and evaluate practice regularly to ensure the quality of education remains strong.
• Support students to make progress, be nurtured, and achieve their personal best.

• Passionate about Science and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons.
• Strong classroom management and excellent organisational skills.
• Contribute positively to a collaborative, forward-thinking department.
• Bring energy, vision and commitment to all aspects of school life.
• Experience teaching KS3–KS5.
• Holds QTS and is confident in their subject specialist.
