JOB DESCRIPTION

* Lead and develop the school’s behaviour strategy, ensuring a clear, consistent and restorative approach.

* Oversee behaviour systems, including behaviour for learning, rewards, sanctions, and behaviour interventions.

* Line-manage pastoral teams, including Heads of Year and support staff, ensuring effective collaboration.

* Analyse behaviour, attendance and punctuality data to inform strategic decision-making.

* Work closely with families, external agencies and safeguarding leads to support students with high-level needs.

* Drive staff training and professional development around behaviour management and classroom culture.

* Model outstanding leadership, communication and professional conduct always.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

* A highly effective middle or senior leader with a proven impact on behaviour and pastoral provision.

* Strong knowledge of current behaviour research, including trauma-informed and relational approaches.

* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships at every level.

* High expectations for pupils’ conduct, achievement and personal development.

* The ability to inspire and challenge staff, students and families alike.

* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
