Are you an Assistant Quantity Surveyor ready to take the next step in your career?
We’re working in partnership with a Tier One Property Services Contractor delivering high-volume reactive maintenance works across residential and public sector portfolios in Slough. Due to continued growth and long-term contract wins, they’re looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their established commercial team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Assistant QS looking to step up into a full QS role within a supportive, structured environment that offers genuine career progression.
The Role As Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial management of reactive maintenance contracts, ensuring financial performance, compliance, and value delivery across a busy and fast-paced workstream.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing subcontractor procurement and payments
Preparing and submitting valuations and variations
Cost reporting and forecasting
Supporting month-end CVR processes
Ensuring contractual compliance
Liaising with operational teams to maximise commercial performance
About You
Experience in a Quantity Surveying or Assistant QS role
Background in reactive maintenance, social housing, or property services (desirable)
NHF Schedule of Rates experience will be highly advantageous
Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills
Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively
Ambitious and keen to progress within a leading contractor
This role would particularly suit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor ready to take ownership of their own workstream with the support of an experienced Senior QS and Commercial Manager.
