Junior Pre-Construction Manager

Our client is a well-established, cash-rich business that has grown organically year-on-year. They are a specialist design and build fit-out contractor, renowned for delivering exceptional commercial office spaces. They are now seeking a Junior Pre-Constructions Manager to join their friendly, close-knit team in Berkshire.

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside their Senior Pre-construction Manager in a junior pre-construction role, with a clear pathway for long-term progression and the chance to make a real impact within the business.

About the Business:

Over the years, the company has cultivated an impressive database of both new and returning clients, generating a natural turnover exceeding £30m+. Projects typically range from £100,000 to £3,000,000 and include CAT A & B fit-outs, as well as full design and build contracts. Their team prides itself on professionalism, enthusiasm, and delivering outstanding results for every client.

The Ideal Candidate :

· Minimum 18 months’ experience in a pre-construction or estimating role

· Experience pricing internal packages

· Experience from either a competitor or working for a sub-contractor (drylining, carpentry & joinery, M&E, partitions, flooring)

· Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams

Key Responsibilities:

· Understanding client budgets and developing competitive pitch documents

· Producing accurate quotes from subcontractors

· Pricing internal packages, including partitions, carpentry & joinery, flooring, and FFE

· Liaising with building control and managing fire safety requirements

· Attending client meetings and building strong relationships

· Preparing pitch documents, encompassing design, cost, and programme

· Maximising profit margins on projects

· Managing JCT production and client PM terms sign-off

· Negotiating with the supply chain to secure competitive rates

· Conducting handover meetings with project teams

· Cross-planning to support project delivery
