Registered Nurse (RN) - Med-Surg Observation - Days - Sign On Bonus Available

• Act as a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Scope & Standards of Practice.
• Effectively delegates, directs and assists licensed and ancillary team members; assumes accountability for quality patient outcomes.
• Maintain involvement in activities aimed toward achieving unit and department strategic goals and objectives; demonstrate professional responsibility and accountability for practice.
• Use the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.
• Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies appropriate for patients, families, and other groups or disciplines.
• Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources (human and fiscal) and serve as a leader on the interdisciplinary team.
• Use data and knowledge to evaluate and promote change to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Promote customer satisfaction and contribute to staff morale and growth in the nursing profession.
• Adapt care approach to the specific patient population, respecting privacy and communicating procedures appropriately.
• Perform other related duties as required.

• Education:
  
  Required – Registered nurse diploma;
  Preferred – Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Licensure/
  
  Certifications:
  
  Required – Current RN license in the state of practice;
  Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Knowledge,
  
  Skills and Abilities
  
  (KSAs):
  Proficiency in using computers and software; strong verbal and written communication; interpersonal skills; organizational and time management; good judgment.

• Experience:
  
  None required (as specified in the description).

• Physical requirements:
  
  Capable of performing heavy work as needed; exposure to blood, body fluids, and potentially hazardous materials.
• Work environment:
  Healthcare setting with exposure risks; comply with safety and compliance standards.
