Service Advisor

Description

Our ideal candidate will be a dependable, team-player with experience working within a diesel dealership environment.
This is a hands-on position that requires leading by example.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Greet customers promptly and courteously
• Work with customers to clearly translate repair needs to techs
• Schedule repairs to maximize work efficiency and quality of work performed
• Work with customers on scheduling repairs in the shop
• Check and review work in process and follow-up for completion as scheduled while exceeding the customer’s expectations
• Organize daily work and assist in assigning jobs to mechanics
• Record keeping, filing, and GPS tracking
• Maintain Driver Vehicle Inspection Program
• Assist with rental equipment check‑in/check‑outs

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Maintenance experience requested but not required.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Detailed knowledge of shop industry.
• Work well within a team.
• Solid analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Demonstrated awareness of all health and safety protocols.
• Manage time efficiently.
• Effective multi‑tasking.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Able to read, interpret, and compose work orders.
