Responsibilities
Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages; checks shipments for conformance to Fed Ex features of service; provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station’s service area; provides related customer service functions; performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum EducationHigh school diploma/GED.
Minimum ExperienceSix (6) months courier experience preferred. Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge.
Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesAbility to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Thorough knowledge of the station’s service area preferred. Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
JobConditions
Neat appearance required; must meet and maintain qualifications as outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations. Requires a medical exam in accordance with FMCSAyf or FAA regulations. Specific requirements for any employee who operates a company vehicle are outlined in policy 4‑48. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license in state‑required class for the assigned vehicle and maintain a good driving record as outlined in policy.
Non‑covered safety‑sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Actual starting pay will be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location, and other job‑related factors permitted by law.
