Fleet & Equipment Support Associate
Skokie, IL | Healthcare Services | Full-Time Monday-Friday
$20-22 Based on Experience
Role Summary

The Fleet & Equipment Support Associate is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and logistical support of all company vehicles, machinery, and equipment. This role ensures equipment remains operational, safe, and compliant with regulatory standards while supporting daily operational needs through inventory management, documentation, and coordination.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, machinery, and equipment
  • Conduct inspections to identify mechanical issues and troubleshoot faults
  • Diagnose problems and repair or replace defective components
  • Ensure all maintenance and repairs are completed safely and efficiently
  • Coordinate scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and equipment
  • Track fuel usage and maintain accurate fueling records
  • Monitor maintenance schedules and ensure timely servicing
  • Manage inventory of parts and supplies; order replacements as needed
  • Maintain detailed maintenance logs, reports, and expense records
  • Ensure all equipment meets safety and regulatory requirements
  • Assist in keeping the workshop and storage areas clean and organized
  • Provide guidance and basic training to staff on proper equipment use
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support operational demands
What You’ll Need to Bring
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Prior experience as a mechanic or technician (fleet or equipment maintenance preferred)
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and diagnostic tools
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret manuals, safety rules, and procedures
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • High school diploma or equivalent (vocational or technical training a plus)
