The Human Resources Manager is a critical leadership position responsible for the entire lifecycle of our Care Professionals (CPs). You will establish best practices, leverage technology, and build and lead a dedicated HR team to ensure we remain the employer of choice in the home care industry.
Key Responsibilities- Talent Acquisition Leadership: Develop and execute aggressive recruiting strategies to maintain a robust pipeline of high-quality Care Professionals. You will lead the Recruitment Coordinator to optimize "time-to-hire" and efficiency.
- Compliance &
Risk Management:
Ensure 100% compliance with IDPH (Illinois Department of Public Health) regulations and Home Instead standards. You will manage worker’s compensation, unemployment claims, and quarterly audits. - Retention & Culture: Be the heartbeat of our organization. You will analyze turnover data, implement innovative retention programs, and plan culture-building events like meetings for our Care Professionals and team parties.
- Performance Management: Oversee the professional growth of our staff through formal reviews, counseling, and disciplinary actions, ensuring a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Strategic Growth: Research and implement new HR technologies and maintain competitive wage/benefit packages (Health, 401k) to keep us ahead of the market.

- Experience: Proven track record in HR Management, ideally in a high-volume recruitment environment (healthcare or home care experience is a significant plus).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Illinois labor laws and IDPH regulations.
- Tech-Savvy:
Experience with HRIS, ATS, or scheduling software (experience with Clear Care is a plus). - Leadership: Ability to manage and develop a team (Administrative Assistants and Recruitment Coordinators).
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
