Preschool Assistant Teacher

Part Time (Afternoon) and Full Time Positions Available - Starting August 2025.

Hillel Torah North Suburban Day School, located in Skokie, IL, is seeking a warm, energetic, and passionate preschool assistant teacher with excellent communication and interpersonal skills beginning August 2025. We are hiring for a part‑time (afternoon only) and full‑time position. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping children learn and grow and have a collaborative approach when working with other teachers to create a positive and supportive classroom environment.

• Prior experience working with children ages 3‑5 years.
• Knowledge and background with Judaic curriculum, including but not limited to parsha and chagim.
• Ability to actively engage with children.
• Commitment to providing a nurturing and developmentally appropriate classroom experience.
• Willingness to care for and support each individual child throughout the day, including but not limited to: in the classroom, on the playground, in the gym, in the bathroom, and during mealtimes.
