Controller, Accounting, Accounting Manager

Salary Range
: $150,000 to $170,000 + Bonus & Benefits

We’re partnering with a growing manufacturing company in the North Suburbs on a Controller search. This is a high impact, hands on leadership role within a startup environment where you’ll have the opportunity to build structure, strengthen processes, and serve as a strategic partner to ownership.

The organization is in growth mode and needs a strong accounting leader who can operate both strategically and tactically. If you enjoy building scalable processes, improving visibility into operations, and working closely with manufacturing leadership, this could be a strong fit.

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
• Lead inventory and cost accounting for manufacturing operations
• Maintain general ledger integrity and oversee all technical accounting matters
• Develop and enhance internal controls, policies, and procedures
• Partner with operations on inventory management, production costing, and margin analysis
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
• Prepare financial reporting packages for ownership and lenders
• Manage audit coordination and external relationships

• 8 plus years of progressive accounting experience
• Prior manufacturing and cost accounting experience required
• Strong understanding of inventory accounting and standard costing
• Experience working in a startup or high growth environment preferred
• ERP experience required
• CPA preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
