Overview
Personal Assistant required in Skelmersdale – LILS/EM/OG
Do you have some free time to provide support to a young man to enable him to access the community? He is interested in going to the gym and in the Jacuzzi, cinemas, possibly visit local food restaurants/shops. The role can be physically challenging at times.
Detailshours: 5.5 hours per week during term time (38 weeks) and 11 hours in the school holidays (14 weeks). 5.6 weeks annual leave entitlement. Rate of pay: £12.21 per hour.
Responsibilities- Support to access the community
- Help with some aspects of personal care
- Food preparation and prompting to eat/drink regularly to ensure adequate fluid intake
- Support with dressing/undressing for swimming
- Understanding or knowledge of autism (training can be provided)
- Preferably a male carer as personal care is required
- Car driver is essential, including proof of business cover
- Must be willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check
